SOME SITES OF LAS VEGAS DURING VOI5 |

Beautiful Las Vegas looking down the main strip. |
After dropping off our luggage at MGM, we headed out to the Nevada terrain towards the Hoover Dam for a little recreation. I think Earl was attempting to divert the Colorado River himself. Ready - 1, 2, 3,...(grunt) Easy Earl, you've got a long week ahead of you! |

The Hoover Dam. Or do you call it Boulder Dam? Simply the most awesome concrete structure ever built by man. Engineers claim the dam will last 2,000 years. |
Here you see one of the 2 spillways located on both sides of Lake Mead, at the mouth of the dam. The spillway tunnels are some 65 feet in diameter, and drop inside the moutain over 700 feet down to the river below. Note the bus on the bridge for a scale comparison! |

The Hoover Dam Monument. |
OK, enough tourist stuff. Time to head out to the Nevada desert to throw some lead. Here crew member Adam caps off a few rounds into the junk pile at the public gun range. |
Clint Misjak? ...."feel lucky punk?" Earplugs are manditory with the .44 Magnum- |
Here is Juniors' gal Mary trying a few rounds with the cannon. Hang on tight and watch that recoil. |
The Harley Davidson Cafe. There were many bikes from famous people inside and out. |
This was a huge metal sculpture on the second floor, made from various Harley parts. |
Here is the main stage area. You can see the production bikes being transported around the restaurant on a simulated production line trolley system. I thought it was odd to have this at the Harley Cafe, since Harleys aren't built on a production line..? The large flag in the background was made of steel chain. It must weigh hundreds of tons! |
