Very early days of the track shows only 22' X 5' layout, with no 'leg'. (1990)
Moving into 1991, you can see the new branch addition, making the track a 1/64 scale mile, and completing the layout. You can
also see the first stage elevation of the high-banks.
PHOTOS OF OLD
Edited photo highlights track layout and Burger King. You can even see the red light on from the old track condition
lights. The back raised section is now the Mobile Home area.
The first pits. This must be @ 1992, because you can see the first SG+ cars in the background.
New 1/4" wood inlays were bare for a couple of years. I kind of liked the "clean" look. ;-)
Here you can see the primer and early stages of the landscaping and detailing. Also note the second stage elevation of the
High-banks. It was still a flat turn at this point though.
Early stages of landscaping beginning to show. Note the grass and original starting line. The track edges were fogged Black into
the wood inlays about 1/4" to give the track the illusion of more width. Guard rails in straight sections are eventually placed 1/4" from the track edge to give outside cars room to move around. Guard rail posts were
trimmed and glued into 1/8" holes matched in the wood. There are NO guard rails on the outside of most every turn, except elevated areas.
