Phil Simms makes his Challenge runs for lap times in his fast, red Venom GTS.  The Venom gave off some great off-throttle flames into the corners.

I was able to get some great shots and video from the flag man tower across the track.  Hey, nobody said I couldn't do it, so I had to take advantage.  What a view!  (-a video capture card is definitely in the works!!)  The platform moved quite a bit from the air turbulance off of the cars.  Click pictures for larger images.

Skip Thomas and Larry Hampton finish up their time runs for the day.

The checkered flag waves for Skip as he waves back, bringing an end to Saturdays' track events.

Shadows grow long on the garages as the heat still pounds late into Saturday at Gateway.

Some guys from the SVSi crew relax after a long day of work in the pits.  Here is Rob Schmeltzer and Doug Cameron, a couple of major contibutors to the SVSi camp.

As the Sun sets, Senior and Dave Snelten take a spin in the awesome SVSi Stryker Twin Turbo GTS.

Sunday brought even more heat at Gateway.  Here is Dave Sneltens Legends racer he brought along to Gateway.  Aside from supplying his awsome Viper transporter, Snelten always has at least 3 pit vehicles floating around at every event.  His golf cart defintely came in handy for getting shots of the racing all over the track.

Junior on the poll, with the rest of the line up for Sunday's door-to-door race.

Bob Woodhouse in his Pearl Blue GTS, with Muzzy behind in his radical GTS racer.
